PhD Student in Economics, London Business School
Hi, I’m Tanay Kasyap-a first year PhD student in Economics at London Business School.
My research interests are in industrial organization, continuous time finance, contract theory, and labor economics (with a focus on time use).
Previously, I was a pre-doctoral research fellow at Yale’s Tobin Center and Economic Growth Center, working with Samuel Kortum and Nicholas Ryan on international trade and dynamic industrial organization with an emphasis on energy markets.
During my pre-doc I analyzed optimal unilateral carbon policy and structural change under climate shocks to agriculture (with Samuel Kortum), and a dynamic entry game for energy firms connecting to the California ISO (CAISO) (with Nicholas Ryan).
